Dan Tomal is a former corporate vice president (Decstar, Inc), internal consultant (Marathon Oil/USX), independent consultant, and professor (Purdue University, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Concordia University Chicago). He received BS and MAE degrees from Ball State University, and a Ph.D. Bowling Green State University. He has consulted for numerous organizations (Lucent, Zurich, Siemens, Emerson, Teledyne, AT&T, BCBS, Rush Medical, CDH, Cadence, Lawson Products, ServiceMaster, US Tsubaki, Provena Health Care, etc.).
He has testified before the United States Congress, voted the outstanding professor at Purdue and IIT universities, authored 16 books (Human Relations,Electronic Troubleshooting, Action Research, Discipline by Negotiation, Every Parent’s Nightmare: Finding the Best Medical Care for Your Family) over 200 articles/studies, and made guest appearances on many national television shows such as CBS This Morning, NBC Cover to Cover, Les Brown show, Tom Snyder, Chicago Talks, 700 Club, and the Joan River’s Show.
He has a special interest in strategic planning, leadership and executive coaching, organizational development and restructuring, and business development. He has offices in Wheaton and Chicago, and is married to Annette Tomal, Ph.D. and has three children.
